Stansted Meet and Greet Parking for Disabled Travellers

Updated 6 November 2026

Compare Stansted Meet & Greet parking with your mobility and assistance needs in mind. Before paying, confirm where you will hand over and collect your car, and whether those arrangements work for you. Stansted parking service hours are 04:00–23:00 daily.

Compare parking for your dates before choosing a product

Start with the [Stansted parking comparison page](/parking/stansted/stansted-meet-and-greet-parking) and enter your travel dates and planned handover and collection times. Compare the displayed products, prices, booking terms and arrival instructions—not just the price.

With Meet & Greet, you hand your car and keys to the parking operator at the designated meeting point. The operator parks your car and brings it to the agreed return point when you come back, following the booked product’s procedure. Compare Airport Parking Extras is the comparison and booking site; check who operates the product you select.

If a detail affecting your journey is unclear, seek confirmation before completing payment.

Confirm both meeting points before you pay

Do not assume every product uses the same handover point, or that the return location is identical to the departure location. Ask for the exact designated points and directions for both journeys.

Check the practical details that matter to you: - How far is each point from the terminal entrance or your agreed assistance meeting point? - Does the route involve kerbs, steps, crossings or lifts? - Is there suitable space and permission to deploy your ramp or unload mobility equipment? - Are there stopping restrictions or separate charges you need to understand? - What should you do if you cannot find or reach the designated point?

Meet & Greet describes the parking handover service; it does not by itself confirm that a location meets your access needs.

At drop-off: unload equipment before handing over the car

Follow your booked product’s arrival instructions, including any requirement to telephone before reaching the meeting point. Keep the booking reference and operator’s contact details accessible.

Before handing over your keys, allow time for passengers to get out and for your wheelchair, walking aid, luggage and essential medication to be removed. If you need help with unloading or transferring out of the car, agree who will provide it in advance; do not assume the parking driver can do so.

Tell the operator about vehicle adaptations or driving controls before booking and confirm that the vehicle can be accepted. Our guide to [taking your own wheelchair on a plane](/guides/taking-your-own-wheelchair-on-a-plane) can help you plan the next stages of your journey.

Arrange airport assistance separately

Booking parking does not book airport assistance. Request assistance through your airline or travel provider in advance, following their requirements, and confirm where you should meet the assistance team at Stansted.

Explain the support you need between the parking handover point and that meeting point. Do not assume assistance staff will meet you at your car.

For a hidden disability, consider any communication, queuing or waiting needs that could affect the handover. Ask whether clear written directions or a specific contact procedure can be arranged. Confirm any requested adjustments rather than treating them as included in the parking booking.

On return: follow the collection instructions

Use the return instructions for your booked product, including when to contact the operator after landing. Do not assume landing alone triggers the car’s return. If you need time to collect mobility equipment or receive assistance, explain this when coordinating collection.

Confirm how you will reach the designated return point and who will help you transfer into the car or reload equipment if needed. Keep the operator updated if baggage collection or assistance takes longer than expected.

The Stansted service operates 04:00–23:00 daily. Before paying, check the procedure for a delayed flight or a collection that could fall outside those hours; do not assume out-of-hours handover is possible.

Book ahead to leave time for the checks that matter

Planning ahead gives you time to confirm meeting points, discuss equipment or vehicle requirements and coordinate airport assistance separately. It does not guarantee a particular product, accessibility arrangement or lower price.

Once the arrangements are confirmed and suitable, select your product and pay online. Save the booking confirmation, arrival and return instructions, and relevant contact details somewhere easy to access during travel.

Allow time for unloading and the journey to your assistance meeting point as well as check-in. Use our [Stansted departure timing guide](/guides/stansted-airport-check-in-security-arrival-guide) to help plan your airport arrival.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Blue Badge determine where I can hand over my car?
Do not assume it changes your booked product’s meeting point or charges. Before paying, ask whether any Blue Badge arrangements apply and confirm the exact handover instructions you must follow.
Can I book if my car has adapted driving controls?
Check acceptance with the parking operator before payment. Describe the adaptations and any instructions needed to drive or secure the vehicle. Do not book on the assumption that every product can accommodate your car.
Will the parking driver help me into my wheelchair?
Do not assume physical assistance or wheelchair transfers are part of the parking service. Confirm what help, if any, the operator can provide and arrange suitable support separately where necessary.
